Events and Activities
General Membership Meetings	Lunch meetings are held at noon on the fourth Thursday of each month (excluding December) at member locations (noted on the calendar page). The meetings provide members and their guests an opportunity to get an update on the month's activities and exchange thoughts and ideas. Guest speakers cover a variety of subjects related to West Salem and the surrounding area.
Business Directory	A West Salem Business Directory is updated annually through a sponsorship from WSBA. Members are highlighted and given special advertising rates.
Community Service Awards	The board presents awards to individuals and businesses who have shown their dedication to the West Salem community throughout the year.
Scholarship Program	Two Salem high school seniors are awarded a $500 scholarship each year. To apply, students must live in the West Salem area (97304 zip code) and plan to attend an Oregon college. The Scholarship Committee reviews each applicant's grades, civic involvement, and financial need prior to awarding the scholarships.
Winery Tour	Each spring, WSBA organizes the Polk County Winery Tour. A bus transports participants to several local wineries for a morning of fun and socializing.
Golf Tournament	A golf tournament and dinner is hosted by WSBA The four-person scramble encourages everyone to participate, but space is limited to 18 foursomes. The tournament includes prizes for everyone!
West Fest	Held at Wallace Marine Park and Wallace Sports Complex. This event includes food, drink, sports, and entertainment.
Seasonal Promotions	Occasionally WSBA organizes promotions to encourage year around shopping in West Salem. During these events group advertising is paid for by the association.
Street Decorations	Volunteers install lighted decorations along Wallace Road and Edgewater Street for the holiday season, and banners are installed each spring. Thanks to donations, the decorations are upgraded or replaced as needed by WSBA.
Holiday Party	In December, WSBA members and their guests are invited to attend a holiday party to meet their new board and get an update of the Association's accomplishments.
Membership Dues	Dues are based on a calendar year (January ~ December). Business memberships are $90 annually; Individual members are $20 annually.
